1. Who processes your data

The controller of your personal data is EMETTE DESIGN S.R.L., CUI 54708104, Trade Register no. J2026032491003, EUID ROONRC.J2026032491003, with registered office at Str. Mihai Viteazu 157, Valea Calugareasca, jud. Prahova, 107620, Romania.

2. What we collect and why

We collect only what we need to sell you a garment and get it to you.

• Order data – name, delivery and billing address, email, telephone, order contents. Collected to perform the sales contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)) and kept for the period required by Romanian accounting and tax law, currently 10 years.
• Payment data – handled directly by our payment processor. We receive confirmation of payment and the last digits of the card; we never see or store your full card number.
• Return and exchange requests – the details you enter in the request form, used to process your request (Art. 6(1)(b) and 6(1)(c), our legal obligations towards consumers).
• Correspondence – what you write to us by email or through the contact form, kept for as long as needed to answer you and to evidence the exchange.
• Newsletter – your email address, only if you subscribe, on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). You may withdraw consent at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
• Technical data – IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed. Used to keep the store secure and working, on the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

We do not carry out automated decision-making producing legal effects, and we do not process special categories of personal data.

3. Who we share it with

We share your data only with parties that need it to complete your order:

• Shopify – the platform hosting this store and processing orders.
• Couriers – including SAMEDAY, to deliver your order and handle returns.
• Payment providers – to process and secure payments.
• Our accountants, and public authorities where we are legally required to disclose.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for third-party advertising.

4. Transfers outside the European Economic Area

Some of our providers, including Shopify, may process data outside the EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is covered by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an adequacy decision, so your data keeps an equivalent level of protection.

5. Cookies

This site uses cookies that are strictly necessary for it to work – keeping your basket, your session and your language choice. Analytics or marketing cookies, where used, are set only with your consent, which you can change or withdraw at any time.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (Regulation (EU) 2016/679) you have the right to:

• access your data and receive a copy of it;
• have inaccurate data corrected;
• have your data erased, where no legal obligation requires us to keep it;
• restrict or object to processing carried out on the basis of legitimate interest;
• receive your data in a portable format;
• withdraw consent at any time, without affecting processing carried out before withdrawal.

To exercise any of these, write to info@emettedesign.com. We reply within 30 days.

If you consider your rights have been infringed, you may lodge a complaint with the Romanian supervisory authority, ANSPDCP – dataprotection.ro, B-dul G-ral. Gheorghe Magheru 28-30, Sector 1, Bucharest.

7. Security

The site runs over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) and access to order data is restricted to the people who need it. No system is perfect, so please do not send card details or passwords by email.

8. Children

This store is not intended for children. We do not knowingly collect data from persons under 16. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, write to us and we will delete it.

9. Changes

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The current version is always the one published on this page.
